Roof Consultant

Greater Boston Area

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Roof Consultant to join our team.  An Elements Consultant is responsible for the entire lifecycle of projects with our clients, who include some of the best known institutions in the world, REIT owners, property managers, and state and local government facility managers. This means a constantly changing set of faces, challenges and learning opportunities.  Our field of expertise is very specific. Chances are, even if you've studied architecture or construction, you'll face a learning curve in the specifics of building envelope consulting and that's to be expected! Our team is made up of professionals with different backgrounds and we've found that's what gives us an advantage. Our wealth of experience keeps us well-rounded and helps us to see options and opportunities others might not consider. We're all about thinking outside the box and "pushing the envelope" to maximize results for our clients. 

While we do have a few preferred experiences we're hoping for in a background, as a whole these are not set in stone requirements. If you meet a few, but not all, don't hesitate to reach out. We're on the look out for a team player with the ability and drive to learn this highly specialized area of expertise.

A strong roofing/construction background, such as a BS degree in structural engineering, civil engineering or architectural engineering is preferred. Commensurate experience will be considered.

Experience with:

  • On-site roofing project management/quality control monitoring of commercial roofing projects

  • Roof investigations and analysis

  • Roofing design/specification preparation

  • Account management and business development

  • AutoCAD, and/or Illustrator

  • Networking and fostering ongoing working relationships with clients

Must possess:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Strong verbal communication skills

  • A commitment to quality, integrity, and dependability

  • Ability to work remotely

  • Ability to travel to project sites, as needed, and to attend business development meetings

  • The ability and desire to LEARN! We're constantly adding to our experience and learning new materials, processes, and procedures along the way to improve.

 

The main responsibilities of the role include managing all phases of Existing Building Envelope Projects, such as: 

  • Architectural Assessment and Design

  • Construction Documents

  • Bidding

  • Construction Administration
